Through analysis of the character, and breakdown of the scene or song, we offer a
comprehensive approach to help young actors:
- sharpen their audition skills
- understand direction and adjustments
- make strong choices
- relax and have confidence in their audition
- create a natural, believable character that is uniquely their own
Between them, David Kaufman and Lisa Picotte have starred or recurred in 8 network TV series and 5 animated series; starred and co-starred in over 20 features and MOW's; guest-starred in over 40 prime-time series; and done over 100 commercials. They have won LA Weekly, Backstage West Garland, and Dramalogue Awards for their work in Los Angeles theatre, including West Coast Ensemble's acclaimed productions of "Company" and "Merrily We Roll Along."
Ms. Picotte studied at London's Royal National Theatre and is a member of the Musical Theatre Guild. Mr. Kaufman studied at UCLA's Department of Theatre Arts, has been a member of the critically-acclaimed company West Coast Ensemble for over 15 years, and has voiced a number of well-known animated characters, including Nickelodeon's Danny Phantom, Jimmy Olsen in Superman: The Animated Series and Aldrin Pesky in Disney's The Buzz on Maggie.

SCENE STUDY FOR YOUNG ACTORS
This class offers a comprehensive approach to help young actors. Preparation is where confidence is built and creativity is freed. Through analysis of the character and breakdown of the scene, Lisa helps the young actor with following:
- Sharpening audition skills
- Making strong choices
- Understanding direction and adjustments, relax and have confidence
- Creating a natual, believable character that is uniquely their own
Classes include: Vocal and Physical Warm-ups; Imrovisation; Cold Reading Techniques; Monologues; Scene Study
Classes are held in 8-week sessions as follows:
5-7 yr olds - Saturdays 10am - 11am ($225/ 8 weeks)
8-12 yr olds - Saturdays 12pm - 2pm ($325/8 weeks)
13 yrs and older - Saturdays 2:30pm - 4:30pm ($325/8 weeks)
Professional Invitation-Only Class - Tuesdays 12noon - 2pm ($325/8 weeks)
Teen Improvisation Class - Saturdays 12:30pm - 2:30pm ($325/8 weeks)
